Important to know

Know in advance:

  • Children below 8 years old are required to travel in a child safety car seat. Children between 5-7 years old are also recommended to be in a booster seat for their safety
  • Tours are suitable for people of all ages and average fitness. The scenic walks are short and optional. Please let your guide know at check in if you have any fitness concerns
  • No sailing experience is required
  • Each season of the year brings different conditions. Sometimes the sailing is easy, sometimes it rains, sometimes there is not enough wind to use the sails, and in such case the quiet eco-friendly electric engine is used
  • No swimming experience required. The operator might ask you to wear a life vest while on deck during sailing. Please advise accordingly
  • You are welcome to bring your own prepared food, snacks and or beverages (alcoholic beverages limited to guests 18 years and older by New Zealand law)
  • Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the conditions, Sun protection, jacket/warm layer, and any essential personal items
  • Infant (age 4 and under) are free of charge
